Important news: If you're reading this, you probably like werewolves. You might not know how much danger real wolves are currently in. In December 2025, the House of Representatives passed H.R.845, a bill that would permanently remove Endangered Species Act protection from gray wolves in the entire United States, and block any legal challenges to reinstate it. This unprecedented bill is now in the Senate, and needless to say, passing it would be a disaster for wolf recovery. Wolves in the US are still very vulnerable, but they've become a political football, their fates written by politicians unqualified to make such decisions.

You can help prevent this by calling or writing to your senator's office and asking them to oppose H.R.845. It passed the House by a narrow margin, so your input can really make a difference, especially if you live in a swing state, or if your senator is on the wildlife subcommittee.
